A)
No - it isn't the long weekend. :-)) So Ferries
shouldn't be a horror story. B)
Accommodations -- We have two available bedrooms, one a double
bed and
the other is what we call *the office*
for which we have an airbed (also
double). First Come First
Served. :-)) We have lots of property for you
'tenter types' - no problem there.
Otherwise I guess its B&B or Hotel/Motel
type stuff. In that regard, the
Links Below leads to a list of
Accommodations which might prove to work for you.
C) Golf
Anyone? Crown Isle is 5 minutes away so those who are
interested in
setting up a tee time for whatever
day should let us know and we'll arrange
it
if you like. There is also Storey
Creek in Campbell River which is
supposed to be FAB to play. The Airshow
is on Sunday August 7th if you've an
interest in Stealth Bombers &
F18 Jets. :-))
D) No Presents
Please. We'd just be delighted to have your company and
spend some relax time with you. its all
that is required.
E) Anyone who wants
to stay over Sunday/Monday or beyond is very welcome
to do so. Just please let us know
that's your plan so we can feed you. :-))
F) PLEASE RSVP
- we don't want you to go hungry. :-)) RSVP
G) Directions:
So you can actually find us.
***From the Inland Hwy (19) take the
Courtenay/Comox Connector all the
way down to (and Left on) Cliffe Avenue
(the main drag in Courtenay).
***Proceed along Cliffe to 17th Street - Right on
the bridge over to Comox.
***Over the Bridge, turn left and drive along Old
Island Hwy until you see
Superstore on the Right.
***Take
the right bend at Superstore (Ryan Road) and all the way up
Ryan Road until you hit the traffic
light at Anderton & Ryan. (Esso Station
on Left side.)
***Left on
Anderton until you reach a fork in the road - DON'T take the
Powell
River Ferry
road (Ellenor) but
instead keep to the left.
Anderton will
magically become Waveland and just keep following
that road.
***When
you see a sign that indicates
"Bates Beach" to the left, ignore it
and just keep going semi-straight. (It will
become clearer when you are
on the road.)
***We are about half way down on the
left -- Watch for the little red roof.
We'll have balloons or
something to indicate *The Place*. :-))
Approx Drive Time From Departure Bay Nanaimo Ferry to
Comox = about 1
Hour give or take a Few Minutes. If you
use the Casita Alegria link below,
you'll have an idea what you are looking for.
H) If I've forgotten
something (And Likely I have) - please ASK
ME.
